Where to begin!? First, I'm not one to review much but this was quite possibly one of the best trips I've ever been on. Admittedly, a wine tour is not my usual type of vacation and my friend had to do a bit of convincing to get me to join her. I'm so glad she won out though. I'd lived in Seattle for a couple of years but had hardly seen anything outside the city. Inquisitours exposed me to the amazing beauty Washington has to offer. Guy was so knowledgeable and fun, the other travelers were incredibly interesting and inspiring, and the food was amazing. I'll remember and cherish this experience for the rest of my life.

Your Tour Director will greet you at the airport upon your arrival. Join us for a picnic at Sacajawea state park as we learn about the history of the area and have our first sample of the unique wines from this region. Set in the foothills of the Blue Mountains, Walla Walla, voted Americas #1 wine destination, is a charming small town filled with world-class wine and the pastoral scenery of the Palouse region. The delightful main street downtown will entice you with shops, galleries, and the ever-present wine tasting rooms. Tonight, join us for a welcome reception as we toast to you and your fellow travelers! Your Tour Director will provide insights for quality, fresh, locally owned restaurants and will help with reservations.

Day 2

Walla Walla
Today we explore wines of the Walla Walla Valley. The Walla Walla Valley AVA is an American Viticultural Area located within Washington state and extending partly into the northeastern corner of Oregon. We will learn all about the wine making process with a production tour, and taste through the latest vintages at a variety of wineries sampling each of the distinct terrior. This is a full day of wine tasting with dinner on your own.
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Tastings

Day 3

Walla Walla
We will start the day with a walking art tour. With a world-class foundry located in Walla Walla, public art, galleries and sculptures are prominently displayed downtown and on the nearby Whitman College campus. Free time to meander along Main Street for some ‘retail therapy’ and possibly more wine tasting. Later this afternoon, take a production tour and learn how the winemakers have mastered the art of blending vintages and try it for yourself. You’ll get to take the bottle you blend home for bragging rights with your friends with your own label! Relish a multi-course winemaker’s dinner set amongst the vineyards where some of Walla Walla’s best vintners pair their wines with the city’s talented chefs’ culinary creations, all locally and seasonally sourced.
Meals Included: Breakfast, Dinner, Tastings

Day 4

Walla Walla to Pasco
Visit the Whitman Mission National Historic Site where Marcus and Narcissa Whitman settled in the Walla Walla Valley. The Whitmans, for whom the Marcus Whitman Hotel and Whitman College are named, were missionaries who arrived via the Oregon Trail in the 1830s. They created an outpost where they became refuge for other weary travelers making their way along the Oregon Trail, in which we will stand! Then we follow the mighty Columbia River on our way toward the Tri-Cities at the confluence of the Snake and Columbia Rivers in time for your flight home.
