Feeding Communities

InquisiTours Feeding Communities Initiative

Feeding Communities Give-Back Initiative:

The rural and farming communities we visit are working hardest to feed us, yet hunger pains can be the sharpest. There are higher rates of unemployment and underemployment, with job opportunities concentrated in low-wage industries. Additionally, with wide-open spaces and distance from major metropolitan areas, a lack of transportation to the nearest store or food pantry is potentially hours away.

What can we do?

We believe that equitable access to nutritious food is the impetus for achieving stability. Our goal is to support organizations that are committed to reaching everyone who faces hunger in rural communities. InquisiTours will donate a portion of our tour revenue to organizations that operate mobile pantries and assist community members in enrolling in food assistance programs.

Organizations InquisiTours has chosen to support in 2024

While there are many great organizations doing effective work to fight hunger, we have chosen the 2 organizations below. It was important for us to choose organizations working in our local area where the majority of our tours take place.

The short summaries below provide more information about each organization. We’ve included links to their websites so that independent travelers inspired by our initiative can contribute individually.

Each year, we review and reassess our recipient list. We welcome suggestions of organizations that fit our parameters.
